Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Julia Fona Roberts is the fourth generation Roberts who reside in Atlanta. Her father was a theatre enthusiast since a young time. As studying at Emory University in 1952 he acted in productions on campus and in Atlanta. He joined the Air Force and while stationed at Biloxi in Mississippi, he acted in a play with Betty Lou Bredemus. In 1955, they got married and, in 1956, their son Eric Anthony was born. In 1957, the couple quit the Air Force and Walter was enrolled in Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. Walter was employed by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to work on the set of the show Bum Bum and His Buddies. The show was filmed in Decatur Georgia. Walter as well as Betty Lou financed their own production of the local Sunday morning children's show, Bum Bum and His Buddies. The Actors and Writers Workshop was established in 1964 and lasted for 6 years. The couple had another two children: Lelisa Billingsley (1965) (also named Lisa) and Julia Billingsley (1967) (also know by the name Julie).
