Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actress best recognized for her role as House in Fox's medical drama House. After being raised by traditional Jews from Wayne, New York City was where she set her sights to study theater at Tisch. She was very active in the clubs in the city of New York, and did enough to get recognized by the media. In the meantime she began to become conscious of AIDS and its devastating impacts. Then she used her experience and fame to compose and write an original musical entitled Positive Me and was also in the film. Shortly thereafter she landed the job of MTV and was the host of Awake to the Wild Side. When it ended up going off the air, she was able to appear in TV and films, initially in short roles but then gradually becoming an actor.
